Theresa and Chelsea saw a very obvious gap in the market for an online bookstore in Aotearoa – New Zealand, selling books and products with positive LGBTQIA+ representation. They came to Daisy Digital Marketing to help them turn their dream into a reality, and bring books to Kiwis that represent the rainbow community, all whilst donating to nonprofit groups.
Project & Company Details
Alphabet Book Club was founded in 2021 and is owned and operated by Chelsea, with a lot of the help from friends and family. Chelsea reads every title that is stocked, which means that they have a deep understanding of the representation in the books and allows them to answer any questions about suitability for gift giving and reading age. It also means that Chelsea can provide excellent recommendations for any TBR!
The Outcome
We designed a fresh Shopify website, that allowed Chelsea and Theresa to easily upload new books to the website, and allowed the customer to have an easy shopping experience. We also added additional functionality to the website that allowed customers of the Alphabet Book Club to sign up for a book subscription.
